The Supernatural Vote

So, after praying, thinking, and listening to God concerning all of this, I conclude that the reason the majority of American citizens as well as Christians and "religious conservatives" seem so oblivious to the overall direction in which our new President-Elect desires to steer our nation, is mainly because the Church, the Bride of Christ in America is asleep. We are asleep to the underlying spiritual forces at work. Yes, God can (and I pray He will) change this man's heart, BUT as we are praying towards this goal, we must be alert and aware of how the enemy is active and moving, weaving his sinister plans in an evil strategy that could even culminate in the eventual prophetic events we have read about for ages in the scriptures of Daniel, Revelations, and other key prophetic books of the Bible.

How is it that we can go about our daily lives oblivious to how the enemy is working through kings, presidents, leaders, and governments? Yes, we must keep praying that the government of God and His kingdom will be established in the hearts of all men in these last days so that the final harvest may be reaped, AND just like our enemy, we must also be busy, working, alert, vigilant, and active in this world, taking a stand against evil, and standing for justice and righteousness.

Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8

Be aware this "devouring" will come in many forms. We already know the enemy tries to use our flesh and various vices to overtake us, causing pride and lust to devour our souls.. this is on the personal and individual level and is nothing new.

But we must also be aware that the enemy has ruthless plans concerning the people of God on a corporate level as well. If we say we believe we could very well be living in the last days, just how do we think the enemy will accomplish everything we read about in Danial and Revelations anyway? (i.e. a completely controlled society on every level, including the economy, trading, buying, and selling, run by the Antichrist, a communist, terrorist dictator and 10 powerful men controlling the affairs of men behind the scenes, who first unit the world in a false peace and then turn on it in horrific acts of terrorism and violence, especially towards the Bride of Christ.)

If we believe these events could take place in our lifetime, then we must be alert, keeping watch, vigilant in prayer, keeping our spiritual eyes open to the events occurring in our world. God's Word is clear on this.

I am by no means insinuating that Obama is the Antichrist, but as far as the ability to deceive people, even the people of God, I would say he is a good candidate, that is if God does not change his heart. Deception is a powerful tool of the enemy. He will give us what people want, tell us what people want to hear, then control us once we have given in, completely deceived. This is the way evil works, why would it be any different on a governmental and political level? We are ignorant if we simply believe everything we hear in the media and from government pulpits, when as we already know, deception is a regularly practiced thing in the political arenas.

This country was founded on a Godly constitution which limited governmental powers, TO KEEP AMERICANS FREE and to ensure that communism never had a chance to be established.. and freedom is a God-given gift that makes this country unique. When one begin taking our freedom away, something is wrong. Obama has already insinuated that our constitution is flawed. Obama stands for radical and extreme socialistic ideals and agendas... and socialism is only one step away from communism, friends.

So I'll conclude by saying again, we must pray and be on the alert, aware of how our enemy is planning and working, even through governments. This is serious business, folks. I personally believe we are in the last days and we need to be keenly aware of that fact every day and moment of our lives, and as far as prayer goes... we should breathe it.

The one place we know our vote will count for eternity is in Heaven. So cast your ballots into the throne room of God, and I guarantee your spiritual vote will be massively more effective than any earthly vote! So stand for justice and let your supernatural votes count in Heaven. Together and through the power of God, we can turn the tables on unrighteousness.

The Christian Vote

I don't normally get worked up about political issues and usually assume an internal posture of prayer when I see injustice, evil, and hypocrisy in the world we live in, but this time I feel a deep sense of dread and my spirit feels very heavy over recent political and historical events. So I am not afraid to step out on a limb and say it like I see it.

The first issue is obviously the fact that I believe it is clearly evident, that America has just selected an extremely unrighteous man as President of this nation. This is not meant as a disrespect to our new President-Elect (because I believe that we should bless those in leadership) but if we don't see the truth, speak the truth, and call for true justice in our country, what good are we as Christians?

The second issue is the Christian vote. I was shocked to see and hear how many Christians support this man. I want to know how it is possible to call oneself a Christian and vote for a man like this. I wonder are people aware of all of the many evil, socialistic, and almost communist ideals he stands for? He is not simply radical, the man is frightening to say the least.. and the scariest thing of all is that he has deceived so many people.

Let's take abortion for example. It's enough that we already practice the mass murder of unborn infants in this country, but the first thing on our President-Elect's to do list is to push the Freedom of Choice Act. What is included in this? Partial Birth Abortion.

Forgive me for this next part, but all I can do is grieve over the fact that so many Christians in this nation can be in full support of a man who wants to make the act of stabbing live born babies in the back of the head and leaving them in another room to die a legal process.

How can followers of our Lord, a God of mercy and love support this kind of evil?

Mark my words, if and when this Act is passed, this nation will suffer God's swift and righteous justice because of it.

All we can do is pray now.

Pregnant!

Well, speaking of new beginnings, I just found out that I am going to be a father! Sabrina took a pregnancy test this morning and it was positive! Amazing. I believe this is also symbolic of the new life God is breathing into our lives and the new things He is birthing in our relationships and community. We prayed and blessed the child as soon as she found out and gave the baby to the Lord. I'm very happy and I am looking forward to all the new things that God is going to show me through this. The gift of life is such a wonderful thing. We are both so blessed that God would find us worthy to receive such a gift. Thank you, God!

A Renewed Commitment

Hello friends! I'm sorry I haven't posted for a few months... things have been crazy. I've been busy planning a wedding, getting married, honeymoon, and getting settled into a new married life. I think everything is finally settling down and my new wife, Sabrina and I are able to get on a real schedule. Friday night on 8/8/08 we were part of an amazing gathering at RIHOP where Sabrina was filled with the Spirit and we were both touched by God in a very special way. This was the perfect kick start (as my wife put it) into our renewed commitment to stick to a healthy schedule of prayer, worship, healthy eating, and exercise. As I'm sure a lot of you know the number 8 means "new beginnings" and this truly is a new beginning for both my wife and I.

Here is a little of my conversation with God this morning:

Where are You?

I am right here, as always.

Lord...

You should come be with Me more often, my son.

I know... (silence and the increasing sense of His presence as He begins to touch my heart and invade my soul)

God, search me and know me from the inside out. Penetrate my spirit and my mind. Cause Your power, Your energy to infiltrate me at the very base of my existence. Lord even at the quantum level of who I am, even my protons, neutrons, and electrons, the very atoms that make up the matter of my mind, soul, and body. Lord let your energy flow into me and change me, causing me to become more and more like You. Let me live, breath and act in Your dimension of love, holiness, and power... God, I want more, I need more of You.... God, give me more.

I was just waiting for you to ask.

It is important to actually spend time with God and be with Him. It might start out as a sort of internal conversation, but as He comes close to us, it's good to just sit and receive what He longs to give. He longs to be intimate with us. He is the great Lover... and without exchanging love with Him on a daily basis, it will become impossible for us to love others like we should... but we have to really be with Him in that deep place within His presence... this goes beyond words, beyond reading, beyond music, beyond vocal or non-vocal prayer. These things can be a good starting place, but it is only in the deep, silent, and intimate place of His heart where we are truly changed to become more like Him. This is the secret place where He longs to be with us.

As we enter these last days and the fulfillment of all things draws near, God is drawing us into a deeper commitment to Him. He wants us to spend more time with Him instead of doing other things, even good things. Let us come to Him when He beckons us.

The Wedding Is Still On

Hello friends! Just wanted to let everyone know that the wedding is still on for June 22! Praise God, He is so good. God has worked a wonder in the relationship between Sabrina and I. It just goes to show that when you are willing to die to the things you hold the closest and are willing to let go and let God have His way with you, He is then fully able to give those things back in an even greater way. It's true... things are even better than they were the first time. I have learned the greatest lesson of my life... and I also know now that when we are willing, not only to surrender and let go and give everything to God, but to stand on what we believe God has promised, we will eventually see the fulfillment of those things, though they might come sooner than we expected! But hey, you don't see me complaining. God works in mysterious ways, that's for sure.

Beauty Arise

When we realize that we have nothing in or of ourselves to offer God and that only He can transform us into an acceptable offering for Himself, we begin to understand the scripture in Is. 61 "To give them beauty for ashes..." We are but ashes in ourselves, but when we begin to spend time in His presence, offering Him ourselves as a prayer of silence, surrendering our wills to Him as worship, He will come and brush against our souls and fill us with His love and call forth the beauty of who we truly are in Him, the beautiful creatures He has called us to be. Deep calls unto deep.. His Spirit moves within us to bring out the beauty inside. The beauty that lies inside of us dormant, only to be brought to life by His kiss of love.

Living In The Moment

If all of a sudden our past was erased and our future was irrelevant, what would be the defining reality of our life? In that present moment of time, what would matter the most to us? At the root of our soul, at the core of our being, what would be the driving force behind our own existence? What does it all come down to?

The one answer to these questions for any particular person is the one thing that defines what that person is living for, what that person worships, and what that person has placed on the throne of their heart. This is the reality that that forms their thoughts and makes their decisions.

When the one answer is the one thing that truly matters... to dwell in the inner chamber of our heart in the presence of the Holy Divine Light, to gaze at the beauty of His face, to exchange love with Him, to be totally and completely consumed by the fire of His love, and to live only for this love... if this is the answer then we are in the right place.

We must abide always in this Oracle of Fire... the One True Flame that burns eternally. This is the Reality that we must live for. This is what should matter to us the most if we only had the present moment we are living in. What happens to our souls in the hours we spend in this secret place of fire and love is the ultimate reality. It is what defines who we are... it is what makes us and creates our identity in Him. What happens in these moments with Him is what we will remember for the rest of our lives. In these moments He will make everything clear to us and will shine on our hearts. He will be in us, all around us, and we will be in Him. He will give us "little wonders" and revelations of Himself as He continually brushes our soul with His love. The outside world and time itself will seem to disappear. Our pain and hurts will fall away and only His love will remain.

Who Are You?

I do not know God. I have a conception of God, but lack the full reality of who He is. Who are you? I feel your great divine reality, but you feel so alien... yet beautifully intriguing. I want to know You. Tell me who you are... Who are You?

I am.

You are the I am... and I am the You are. This knowledge is too great, to big for me. A holy, burning fear of the reality of God in and around me... It feels as if my head and mind are being compressed and crushed while my heart is growing and expanding. I feel my intellect and thoughts dying. An image of the cross and a sense of an inner washing of a new light.

I am falling down into, yet away from myself. Into the core, the core of my inner being, into a power great, yes greater than myself. Inside, yet all around, all-encompassing power, inside this massively great and immensely cosmic Force. I am repeatedly seized by His exhilaration as waves of an urgent love sweep over my soul. A bitterly sweet energy... a pleasure that leaves me feeling burnt, wretched, and empty, as I am stripped down to the core of who I am. I realize then that I have nothing to offer Him for I am empty. So I offer Him this dead and empty shell of a human soul, so that He may come to eventually fill me with His breath, bringing true life and beauty in place of what has died. As I offer myself, I realize... I am not. For only You are I am.

This was a painful yet extraordinary revelation, but I feel as though I am on an ancient path every man must take... every man who wishes to find true and complete union with the Living God.

Infused Contemplation

I have recently began praying every morning with Jeff, a good friend of mine, who the Lord has given much insight and revelation in the area of infused contemplative prayer. It is simply changing my life, friend. I am realizing that this is, as Jeff believes, the single most powerful thing any believer can do. This, in fact, does not describe it well at all, because in infused contemplation, there is really nothing one should "do" in the sense of self-effort or action. On the contrary, it is the absence of self-effort or self-will that makes this form of prayer so powerful because in contemplative prayer, as one postures his heart to receive, one's own will is surrendered to God, and we begin to experience a new burning love inside, the soft "brushes" of His Spirit, and the flaming passionate glory of the indwelling nature of the Divine.

Those who meet God in this profound way realize that these experiences are ineffable. The deep extacy felt in this contact with the Divine is unspeakable. Sometimes, it is best not to try to express or describe it so as to avoid giving the impression that it is no more than inexpressible. There is no way to catch in words the sublime things of God which happen in the soul. The appropriate language for the person receiving these favors is that he understand them, experience them within himself, enjoy them, and be silent.

In contemplative prayer, the believer will experience infusions of a burning love, but sometimes with little increase of "particular knowledge" that is, a person finds himself loving much, even without new understanding of who or what. Or the experience could be the reverse. There can be a wonderful inebriation that lasts for differing lengths of time, even as long as a day or two with varying degrees of intensity. The exhilaration can be so intense that it could even cause death. Nature would be torn apart were God not to impart strength or restrain Himself from fully pouring out His love upon us. So God is forced to manifest His love in divine "touches" of His Spirit.

A divine touch is a deep, intimate contact-union experience of God in one of His attributes such as power, light, goodness, beauty, or joy. It is not only a contact but also a union, and not only a union but also an experience. Touches are wholly divine and sovereign. The substance of God is a union-contact with the "substance of the soul." Although this touch is not the beatific life of Heaven, it is a "tasting" of eternal life. The soul tastes all the things of God: wisdom, love, beauty, grace, goodness, peace, joy, etc. Because God is all these things, a person enjoys them in only one touch of God. This contact brings incomparable peace and joy, for in the touch God is sublimely perceived in one of His attributes. As often as this experience occurs, it remains fixed in the soul. Since this communion is pure contemplation, the soul clearly understands that it is ineffable. These inner brushes or touches are contacts with the very Divinity, and they effect a union with God. There is no other experience similar or comparable to them. The inner peace, love, and transformation they engender more than compensate for all the trials suffered in life, even though innumerable, and at times God produces them when the person is not in the least thinking about such matters. These divine touches are worth more to the soul than numberless other thoughts, teachings or ideas about God and His works. It goes without saying that these sovereign contacts with Divinity immeasurably surpass the sublimest of earthly experiences. They are so deeply impressed, they can't not be forgotten. They will produce transforming love.

In the beginnings of infused prayer, more commonly one experiences a burning of love within the will rather than a light of understanding in the intellect. This common trait of touches makes it clear that they are not derived from our reasonings and meditations. Touches purify, strengthen and quiet a person, and they make the inner life more stable. They perpare the recipient to receive the permanently the divine union of espousal and eventually the transforming union itself. Everyone is called to this summit.

There is a close relationship between what we have just considered and what mystics call "wounds of love." Love touches deeply pierce one's inner center like fiery darts. They thus bring an immense torment and yearning to see God face to face in final vision. They cause a dying with love. What are these wounds? They are "flames of tender touches" and "tender flares of delicate love." There are many ways and varying degrees in which God cauterizes, sears the soul with love. While a person is inflamed with love for God it will feel that a seraphim is assailing it by means of an arrow or dart is all afire with love... In this cauterization, when the soul is transpierced with that dart, the flame gushes forth, vehemently and with a sudden ascent... The soul feels the wound with unsurpassable delight.

The End Of Myself

I have just been through the hardest dying, flesh-crucifying, dark tomb experience in my entire life. I won't go into the details, but I had to die to a life long dream I have had since child-hood. Things where moving at full speed and all of a sudden everything was taken away. I'm not saying I didn't make mistakes. God knows that's true, but I truly thought this was God... and now that I have been through this incredibly painful process of dying to everything I held dear, I am realizing now that it was God. Everything is occurring just as planned by the all-knowing, all-loving Creator.

He has brought me back to the beginning of myself. This situation in my life has caused me to face myself and some life-long behavioral patterns. God has revealed to me why I've done things the way I have and felt things the way I have. He took me all the way back to the womb and began to speak to me concerning some major lies I have unknowingly believed. He is now revealing to me who He says I am and showing me my true identity.

I knew a lot of this in my head, but He is doing a new heart level thing with me now, and I really like it. I knew Him before, but I feel as though I am getting to know Him so much more now. He is becoming even more real to me.. so much more real. He is more real than this physical, material reality around us. I am experiencing that day by day and it is glorious. I feel as though I am becoming more and more alive.

Another thing I feel I have gained through all of this is real hope. I actually feel like I know what hope really means now. When, through a death experience, you choose to surrender your own will to the Father, He takes your will, your very soul as an offering. But He doesn't leave you empty. He replaces it with His will, with His life and with His love. On the other side we then have more of His divine nature then we did before. We have true joy and peace and hope. We are reborn into a new awareness of God and of His love. When we truly come to the end of ourselves, realize the emptiness of our own heart, and choose to die and surrender our will to His... we will find Him in the deep darkness of our souls and He will meet us there and give us life. True and lasting life. If we will pursue Him in the quiet stillness of our hearts, the journey He will take us on, the revelations of Himself He will give us, the profound, inexhaustible love we will know will be nothing but incomparable, inexpressible, incomparable, unexplainable, and matchless... because no words can describe what God will do in the inner chambers of our souls as He more than matches our self-sacrifice and longing for the Divine with His glorious, indwelling love that will lead to complete and total union and oneness with our Creator Himself.

The Oracle

When we engage the Flame and immerse ourselves in His love, we will take on His nature, we will become like Him. We will become His intermediaries on the earth, just as a bride represents her husband. We will be His emissaries of love, directly channeling this life-giving energy into the hearts of those with whom we connect. This is the power which transforms entire communities, it is the power which heals our land, it is the power which can disarm the greatest of foes. It is not our knowledge or words or actions or faith alone which can do this, but love. Through His love, we receive His vast knowledge. His words will be on our tongue. We will act out of love and have the faith of a child. Our very existence will be love. Everything we do will be motivated by love. Love will be the source and root of all that we are, all that we say and all that we do.

We are called into the heart of God. He is inviting, enticing and drawing us into the realm of His holy presence. He has been softly whispering and gently persuading, and now He is persistently beckoning, adamantly warning, intently shouting and fiercely roaring. He is desperately crying out to us to come away with Him to the intimate love chamber of His heart. Will His Bride respond?

I want to see the Church return to the source, return to the Flame of her first love to become once again His true Bride on the earth. My vision is to see His Bride arise to her rightful place of authority beside her Lover in a perfect and death-defying union which will cause even the greatest of Hell's beasts to tremble in sheer terror. It will cause the entire world to stand in awe. It will cause angels to salute in respect. We have not known this kind of power because we have not known this kind of love. In His love we will have greater vision because we will see through His eyes. In His love we will have the courage to follow our hearts and go after our dreams because we will be motivated by love. In His love, we will abandon all fear, we will know His truth, we will feel His emotions, we will speak His words, and we will find His heart. We will become one with Him. Our hearts will beat with His love. We will absorb His nature. We must abide in His love continually and let His flame consume us. We must get back to the Oracle Flame and here we must remain.

I Am Engaged!

A New Love

With thanksgiving coming up, I would just like to say that I am so very thankful to God for the new and wonderful person He has brought into my life, Sabrina, the love of my life and the woman of my dreams. It has always been a dream of mine to find a good woman who would be compatible with me and who would love me for who I am, without condition or reservation... God finally brought that person into my life and I love her so much. It's my desire to take care of her and to provide for her to the best of my ability and to bring happiness into her life. It is so amazing how my life is changing so quickly... God is so good.

Through this new relationship, God has been revealing to me many things concerning the relationship He longs to have with His bride, the Church. He longs to be with her, He longs to hold her and to comfort her. He desires for her to come to Him with all of her hurts and doubts and failures... to lay it all down before Him and let Him heal her heart and restore life to her soul. How I feel about my new love, is how God feels about His love, His bride.. us. It is an amazing revelation to experience just a taste of God's heart for His beloved. He loves us so much... and He misses us when we do not come to Him. Incredible change is coming to our land... the winds of change are beginning to blow. Will we come to Him and allow Him to change our hearts now before it's too late? Come to Him and let Him change your heart and give you a new love.

Pay Attention

Hello friends! I've been super busy with work and our Richmond House of Prayer ministry and haven't had time to blog. I wanted to share a few things the Lord has been revealing to me.

For about 2 months now, I have been seeing the number 11 everywhere I turn. Every single time I look at the clock, the minute hand or digit is always 11. Also, one day doesn't go by that I don't look at the clock and see 11:11, either AM or PM. I see 11 on signs, on the internet, I turn to page 11 randomly in books.. it's everywhere. God has been speaking to me in subtle ways. He allows these little "coincidences" to occur in our lives to tell us something. Sometimes they are more discreet than other times, but the key is paying attention. There is a difference between reading into things, and simply remaining in Him and being open to Him speaking to us through any manner necessary for us to hear Him.

God is asking us if we are truly in alignment with Him. Are we really close to Him? Are we really dead to ourselves and alive in Him? What does it mean to live in Him? God wants to teach me these things. He was about to take me through some things that would bring me into a new level in Him. I don't know about you, but I need this. I simply do not want to take another step in my life if I am not 100% sure I am in His perfect will. I feel like certain things will be ending and new things will begin. This is what 11 means to me.

Remain open to Him and pay attention. His voice is sometimes loud and sometimes quiet. The fact is, He longs to speak to us, but we have to learn how to hear Him.

Breathe

One of the most natural processes in our physical life is that of breathing. We don't have to stop and think about breathing, we just do it. Can you imagine what life would be like if we had to remind ourselves to breathe? Instead, without conscious effort, 15 times a minute, 900 times an hour, 21600 times a day, we inhale oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.

Prayer for the Christian should be just as natural as breathing. We have a tendency to think of prayer as being a "command performance." We think we have to come up with just the right words and phrases to talk to God. Talking to Him brings life into our soul... it is this continual communion with Him that enables us to live and move and have our being. Just like plants need oxygen and sunlight, we need communion with our Maker.

In reality, God wants us to share with Him whatever is on our hearts and minds. Scripture says that God already knows what our needs are before we even ask Him. What He wants is to hear from us. Tell Him your fears and your hopes ... ask for His help in your daily life ... thank Him for what He has been doing in your life. Make it your habit to talk to God.

This is what I have been doing and He seems to be answering my prayers and leading me in new directions and giving me new revelations... He has also brought a new and special person into my life and has been guiding me and speaking to me subtly and softly concerning the beginning of this new and bright relationship.

An Exchange Of Fire

Hello friends! We at RIHOP just got through a 50 hour prayer siege which was specifically focusing on the college campuses and students. We prayed and interceded for them, crying out to God that He might send His fire of conviction, love and revelation to the young people of our nation. It was intense to say the least and I was so blessed by how well it flowed. From the transitions to the responders to the chorus leaders to the prayer leaders to the intercessors, the whole thing jelled incredibly well. The Lord gave us many revelations of what He is doing in the land. God is very busy and there are many things in the secret chambers of His heart that He is about to release.

In one of the sets I was leading, the Lord gave me a revelation (which became a prophetic song echoed by other responders, forming a complete message) that still sits pretty heavily on my heart. I saw a picture of our prayers and intercession rising up as fire from the earth into the sky and striking the underside of the blanket of darkness over the region... it steadily burned and burned becoming white hot until finally it burned through.. Then I saw a portal open up and the darkness was cleared. I then felt that God was so moved by our passion and intensity, that I saw Him begin to pour a huge golden bowl of fire (which I understood to be the prayers, worship and intercession of the ones who had gone before us) down onto our region. This upward and downward exchange formed a vertical "ring of fire" which was ever moving, faster and faster. (My mother had seen something similar, which she saw as a wheel within a wheel, taking fire up to Heaven and bringing fire down to earth... what goes up must come down). The Lord spoke to me that this is what He is doing and that we must remain faithful and steadfast in our endeavor to engage Him and that as we do.. He will bring about a total and complete infusion of His nature into us. This will create a unity with each other that will surpass what the Bride has known before and it will be the reason that He will be able to trust us with His fire. This is how His kingdom will be extended throughout our land.

Clips From The Call

Our God is an all consuming fire. He doesn't look like fire, He is fire. He is the flame that's on the inside. He is after our hearts. Our God is a jealous God.



This was one of the most powerful moments of The Call for me. As we stood out in the intense heat with sweat poring off our bodies, the fire of God exploding from our hearts as we cried out for Him to rend the heavens and pour out His rain of mercy upon our land. As Misty sang the chorus "Let it rain!" our hearts cried out as one voice to Heaven.

The Sound Of Awakening

Hello friends! I've been working on a new song called "Come." It's a song for the Bride. I'ts also a prayer to the Lord as intercession for Her, calling Her to awaken and come out of the wilderness She has been sleeping in. I believe this is one of our most important mandates in this time. The prophetic intercessors, those to whom the Lord has revealed the hidden things, the deep things of God, must be good stewards with the information He has given... part of this responsibility is to birth these "seeds" in the Spirit and "hover over them" until there is life, until there is fruit. This means living in a lifestyle of prayer and fasting, not only for our sake, but for the sake of His Bride, that we may stand when the hour of trial comes. If we do not, then when this hour is upon us, we will be swept away by shear force of darkness that will invade our land. But if we abide in Him now, take our place of authority in Him, pray, fast, and intercede as worship to Him, being watchful and careful to always stay before Him, we will be ready. We must be ready. We must prepare now. Time is short. Hear His cry... it's the sound of awakening. Lord, give us ears to hear Your cry. Awaken Your people! Bring them into true union with each other! Bring them into the knowledge of You and give them a revelation of their own purposes, dreams, gifting, and callings... yes, call them out, call them forth! Come forth!

He Is All Around Us

He is all around us... His life is in everything we see and touch and hear. This is truly a revelation from Heaven. Everything that is life comes from Him. Life is the positive energy of God, the power of His love, the very essence of who He is. It's His glory... and it surrounds us. All we have to do is step into it. Like stepping into another dimension, we may enter His garden of peace and revelation where we experience all that He is in the inner chambers, the oracle of Heaven... where we come to know Him. He is inviting us to step through the portal that is opened through our worship and enter into Him. The invitation is for those who desire Him. Who have a heart of longing and passion for Him... who have a holy desperation, a new obsession... who have this revelation. We must go to this place and be joined with Him now... to receive a blood transfusion of His life and love and to be healed so we may fly with the eagles of Heaven. So go... go to His chamber, become an altar that He may burn... and become a torch of Heaven.

Let Him Come Into His Garden

When we allow the wilderness of preparation to become a garden of life by surrendering and accepting where we are at and that things might be hard, God will come down and visit us. He will come into His garden, the garden of our heart that He is preparing for His purposes, and He will give us a revelation of Him. What He longs to give us is a revelation of His love that we have not known before. Only when we have a true revelation of His love, the same love that the Father and Son share in Heaven, will we become who He has called us to be. We must see it and know it... we must abide continually in it every day and every second. We must never get outside of it. God is love. This love is the very essence of God. It is what He is made of and it's what we need to truly live and breathe and cause others to live. It's why we are able to do anything that brings life and love instead of death.

The other night, God came into my room and shook me during a time of intense worship. It wasn't all pleasant either. It was rather frightening to say the least. I know that what I was experiencing was the literal fire of His love... the terrifying beauty of all that He is and the massive, incredible power of His emotions towards me. I felt His intense pleasure over me. He wants to reveal Himself in this way. We just have to let Him. We have to let Him come into His garden and till the soil of our heart until we become beautiful like Him... an acceptable Bride for the Lord. We must let Him come into His garden and gaze upon His face until we become a mirror image of Him. Let Him come into His garden.

The Call 7/7/07

The Call 7/7/07 was a triumph. That's the only way I can put it. I was able to go with a friend of mine who is involved at Moravian Falls and The Cause. Sitting near the stage in 90+ degree conditions, packed in among the sweating bodies of the new Bride, this young warrior generation who carry an unquenchable, explosive passion for God, the Lord revealed Himself to me in an almost an awesome and terrible way. I am still processing a lot of this, but I can tell you that He was pleased with the prayer, intercession, and worship that arose before Him that day... a day that I know in my very core will change history forever. I believe that people were being marked by God. He was hand-picking His warriors and revealing to them who they are and who He has called them to be. The Lord was honored by the dedication of those who were willing to fast and pray in preparation for that day and who were willing to shout, dance, sing, worship, kneel, and cry out to Him for 12 hours in the blistering heat. He was pleased. I just thank the Lord for this new Bride that is beginning to awaken and take their rightful place of authority in our land... and I am proud to be counted among them. Lord, continue the awakening!

The Wilderness

The Lord has really been speaking to me about the wilderness. My mother spoke of the "wilderness" time in her life just the other day, a good friend from the Richmond House of Prayer taught on it the other night, I come across prophetic words and teachings on it, I open up to scriptures about it, and I keep hearing the word "wilderness" wherever I go... the Lord was really trying to tell me something and His word was loud and clear. It's time to prepare. He is beginning to awaken and prepare His Bride, and one way the Lord prepares us is through the "wilderness" times of our lives.

In the desert, God created a fully organized, 12-tribe nation out of nothing. The children of Israel had lost their identity in Egypt, and coming out of Egypt, they were in utter chaos and confusion. God then allowed them to wander through the wilderness for 40 years. It wasn't until after this wilderness period that they were reborn and their children inherited the Promised Land.

The wilderness periods of our lives might differ from one person to the next, but usually have a few things in common. The Lord usually strips us of everything we have or thought we had. This may be our ministry, our relationships, our mindsets, and sometimes even our money or belongings. The Lord will allow us to die to our flesh. The Lord usually reveals to us ugly and dark areas of our hearts that He wants to change... areas we didn't know were there. The Lord will also heal us heart, soul, and body and saturate us in His truth and love if we allow Him to during this time. The wilderness times may not be our fault, but they have a purpose. The purpose is to prepare us for the hard times ahead. We must allow the Lord to prepare us. We should not run from the wilderness even though we might feel alone. The wilderness is a safe place. It is a place where we meet Him face to face and allow Him to tell us who we are. In this place, He will breathe life back into our dead bones and give us back our identity. We must know who we are before we will be ready for war. When we learn to love His wilderness, we will see the wilderness for what it truly is... a garden of life.

How Do You Express Love?

It's true that love comes in many flavors. Some speak of the five love languages, which are: words of affirmation, quality time, gifts, acts of service, and physical affection. Of course, we could add to this list. We also show love through sacrifice, honor, and blessing. All the Fruits of the Spirit are also ways in which we show love. It is also true that some people express love in some ways more than others and often excel in one. I was asked the question recently, "How do you express love the most?" To my horror, I actually had to think about it. I wasn't sure. This caused me to begin to meditate on this. I asked the Lord to search my heart and reveal anything that might be hindering love from flowing out of me to others. I want to excel in love. I want this more than anything. I want others to be affected by my life and my love. Lord, teach us how to truly love each other. Cause us to love naturally and freely, without hesitation. Let it become second nature to us, Your Bride.

A Revelation Of Our Authority

Sometimes we tend to let circumstances and things that happen to us dictate our decisions or how we view life. Sometimes it's our view of ourselves, others or life itself that is the problem. But man was made to rule over all things (Psalm 8:3-8). God gave man authority over the earth. He remains the Owner, but has passed the authority to us. Just as the owner of an apartment gives over authority to the person who is leasing it. If we know we have this God-given authority, we should pray for a heart-level revelation of it. God gave it to us when He conquered Satan on the cross.

Sometimes bad things happen to us. Sometimes things don't work out like we planned or hoped they would. It's not God's fault that these things happen. If it's anyone's fault, it's ours. God is not "in control" as people say a lot. He does not and will not control anyone or anything. Just as the owner of an apartment cannot simply go in and do whatever he wants. Rather, the person leasing it must open the door to the owner, giving him permission to come in. How do we open the door to God to do His will on the earth? Prayer. Prayer is our delegated authority combined with God's power, wisdom, and goodness accomplishing His kingdom purpose on the earth. God knows what needs to be done in our lives. Instead of letting the outward circumstances and situations control us and our decisions, we should operate out of our identity in Him and the power and authority that He has given us.

Job finally had a revelation of who God is, authority, and covenant (Job 42:5-6). But as he was going through the trials God allowed in his life, he operated out of his own self-righteousness and deception (Job 13:1-3;18). In the end, Job saw God for who He really is and what His purpose was in his own life. Let's not wait till the end. God wants to give us this revelation now. A revelation of who we are in Him and our God-given authority through prayer. When we begin to operate out of this revelation, it will change our lives. We will begin to see from His perspective and not our own.

Do We Really Trust Him?

I was mediating on this scripture...

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6).

I realized that in the past many times I have not done this. I've tried to figure out what I'm supposed to do, where I'm supposed to go, what I'm supposed to say based on my own understanding of the situation and on my own understanding or view of myself. This later part has not always been accurate and I have therefore been frustrated at times, feeling like I'm always running into a wall.

The Lord was showing me that if I really did what this scripture was saying, I wouldn't have this problem. Truly putting my trust in the Lord is number one. Acknowledging Him in all my ways is number two. What does it mean to acknowledge? A synonym is to allow or to defer to. If in every given situation I am constantly deferring to God and completely surrendering to Him, it takes the pressure off of me. If I am truly surrendered to Him, He will truly direct my steps in accordance to His dream and purpose for my life.

God does not control and will not control. His will is for us to live a life of love and surrender as we live, move and have our being in Him. He becomes our focus and we are transformed. If we live this way, we will naturally be guided along His path.

Lord give us truth. Don't let us continually function out of our own perceptions of ourselves and others. Teach us to trust You, really trust You completely. Teach us to allow You into our every day lives. Remind us to always defer to You in every situation, trial, decision, hurt, memory, mistake, goal, accomplishment, or failure. Teach us to live in You.

One Day At A Time

Have you ever felt like things just aren't going anywhere or been frustrated because it seems like things aren't moving forward? Sometimes I feel like this. Sometimes it lasts for awhile and other times it only lasts for a moment. Yes, I'm a very action oriented person and I am determined. I'm a real "move forward" kind of guy... but one thing the Lord has really been teaching me the past few months is how to take one day at a time. This seems to have become my motto. Of course we need to plan and strategize, but we really need to balance all the forward thinking and planning with some real "present living" and appreciation for the situations and people around us.

When we learn to stop and appreciate the day and moment we are living in, our world becomes more alive and we are more open to hear what the Lord may be trying to speak to us through our present situation and surroundings. I believe many times He is longing for us to stop and listen to His soft voice of love and wisdom... His truth for us today, right now in this moment. He has something to say. I believe that sometimes He would like to suggest to us that we slow down, take one day at a time, one moment at a time and receive all we can from Him today... and this is absolutely the best thing we can do for our future.

A Holy Fire Of Passion

The other day at a morning prayer and worship meeting I help facilitate, the Lord really showed up in an awesome way. The theme seemed to be His holy fire... a fire of purification which is beginning to burn throughout the land. I felt as though the time for recieving from Him will be replaced by a time to release what He has been birthing inside of us. What is inside of us? For those who have been taking advantage of these past several years of mercy and who have been busy shedding their issues and hurt from the past and who have been seeking His face... there is a fire of passion and love inside of them that is just waiting to explode.

So I have to ask myself, is that fire inside of me? How have I been spending my time? What is His passion for my life?

The Best Kind Of Love

In John 15 Jesus tells His disciples "The person who knows my commandments and keeps them, that's who loves me..." He then says if they keep His commandments, they will abide in His love. The Message puts it like this: "If you keep my commands, you'll remain intimately at home in my love."

I used to wonder at this scripture because I knew that nothing in the kingdom is based on works or good deeds, but rather our heart and our love for the Father... until I noticed where He says "This is My commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you."

There you have it folks. If we love one another, we will remain in His love. When we love one another, we are loving Him. It's all about His love... abiding in it and letting it flow out of us.

To Be Or Not To Be

Hello again! I apologize for not posting lately as I have been out of town. I do want to thank the folks who have been browsing Oracle Flame and purchasing the CD. I pray the Lord bless you through the music and take you into a much deeper place in His heart.

I want to share a few things that have been on my mind lately. The Lord has really been teaching me some hard lessons. I am a real "doer" by nature. I'm an action oriented person for sure. But I know God is teaching me to just "be" instead doing all the time. What I mean is simply being able to rest in who I am and in who He has created me to be. Since I am a very motivated and determined person, I naturally want to take action and implement. I want to see progress and move forward. But when I don't see that or I don't feel like I'm moving forward, I've had to deal with discouragement, which can lead to all sorts of negative feelings. And so the Lord is teaching me to "be" and to rest in Him.

Acceptance is key to this. I accept myself first, of course. I accept where I'm at on all levels. I accept that I have a lot further to go. I accept what things look like. I accept how I feel... and then I start to realize that the act of accepting brings true inner peace.

Real Sacrifice As Worship...

I really enjoyed Lane Keister's post Who is King?

He talked about how we need to make the Lord King of our lives and become living sacrifices to the Lord. He talked about how we need to stand up against the injustice in our land:

We are to be prophets, of a sort. We are all prophet, priest, and king, now that our Great Brother has gone into the heavenly realms. We are to be prophetic, crying out against injustice and oppression. We are to help the poor and needy. We are to cry out against the taking of life, especially these days with regard to abortion and euthanasia. Our country is headed for more murder. We must cry out against it. We are to be prophetic in sharing the Gospel above all. This means so many things. It means being a friend to a person who is not friendly, knowing that that is how Christ treated us. It is sharing the good news of Christ to someone. This might seem hard to many of us. How does one do it?

I couldn't agree more. I'll be the first to admit that I don't always make Him King in every situation or decision in my life, but I strive for it. I make mistakes like anyone, but my heart is towards Him... and if that is true, I will want Him to not only be King of my heart, but King of my land, my country and those around me. I need to be willing to take a stand and cry out against injustice as Lane talked about in his post.

To answer Lane's exploratory question as to how one goes about sharing Christ, I believe we should not only sacrifice our lives for Him, but for the lost and hurting. We need to meet their real needs. When we let His love flow through us into the lives of real people and our love is manifest by our actions, we become worship to the Lord. This is worship.
